The Qur'an Ar Rum The Romans - الروم Arabic وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ Ahmad Ali Another of His signs is that He created mates of your own kind of yourselves so that you may get peace of mind from them, and has put love and compassion between you. Verily there are signs in this for those who reflect. Ali Qarai And of His signs is that He created for you mates from your own selves that you may take comfort in them, and He ordained affection and mercy between you. There are indeed signs in that for a people who reflect. Amhad Khan And among His signs is that He created spouses for you from yourselves for you to gain rest from them, and kept love and mercy between yourselves; indeed in this are signs for the people who ponder. Arberry And of His signs is that He created for you, of yourselves, spouses, that you might repose in them, and He has set between you love and mercy. Surely in that are signs for a people who consider. Corpus And among His Signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you love and mercy. Indeed, in that surely are Signs for a people who reflect. Daryabadi And of His signs is, thathe created for you from yourselves pouses that ye may find repose in them, and He set between you affection and mercy. verily herein are signs for a people who ponder. Truly there are signs in this for people who reflect. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. ﭽ ﮮ ﮯ ﮰ ﮱ ﯓ ﯔ ﯕ ﯖﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ ﯛ ﯜ ﯝ ﭼ الروم ٢٣ Wamin ayatihi manamukum biallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokum min fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona And among His Signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen. It is a sign from among the Signs of Allah that a person goes to sleep; the medical world up to now does not know exactly why a person goes to sleep. There are only theories. So this Quran is a miracle from Allah, and not an invented tale as the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah argue. ﭽ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ ﯫ ﯬ ﯭﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴ ﭼ الروم ٢٤ Wamin ayatihi yureekumu albarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssama-i maan fayuhyee bihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, for fear and for hope, and He sends down water rain from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand. ﭽ ﭑ ﭒ ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗﭘ ﭙ ﭚ ﭛ ﭜ ﭝ ﭞ ﭟ ﭠ ﭡ ﭼ الروم ٢٥ Wamin ayatihi an taqooma alssamao waal-ardu bi-amrihi thumma itha daAAakum daAAwatan mina al-ardi itha antum takhrujoona And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command. Then afterwards when He will call you by a single call, behold, you will come out from the earth from your graves for reckoning and recompense. ﭽ ﮋ ﮌ ﮍ ﮎ ﮏ ﮐ ﮑ ﮒ ﮓ ﮔ ﮕ ﮖ ﮗ ﮘ ﮙ ﮚ ﮛ ﭼ الروم 4٦ Wamin ayatihi an yursila alrriyaha mubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihi walitajriya alfulku bi-amrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona And among His Signs is that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy rain, and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His bounty, in order that you may be thankful. ﭽ ﯗ ﯘ ﯙ ﯚ ﯛ ﯜﯝ ﯞ ﯟ ﯠ ﯡ ﯢ ﯣ ﯤ ﯥ ﯦ ﯧ ﯨ ﯩ ﯪ ﭼ فصلت ٣٧ Wamin ayatihi allaylu waalnnaharu waalshshamsu waalqamaru la tasjudoo lilshshamsi wala lilqamari waosjudoo lillahi alathee khalaqahunna in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate yourselves not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate yourselves to Allâh Who created them, if you really worship Him. ﭽ ﭑ ﭒ ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗ ﭘ ﭙ ﭚ ﭛ ﭜﭝ ﭞ ﭟ ﭠ ﭡ ﭢﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭼ فصلت ٣٩ Wamin ayatihi annaka tara al-arda khashiAAatan fa-itha anzalna AAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat inna allathee ahyaha lamuhyee almawta innahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun And among His Signs is this, that you see the earth barren, but when We send down water rain to it, it is stirred to life and growth of vegetations. Verily, He Who gives it life, surely is Able to give life to the dead on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed He is Able to do all things. ﭽ ﯫ ﯬ ﯭ ﯮ ﯯ ﯰ ﯱ ﯲ ﯳ ﯴﯵ ﯶ ﯷ ﯸ ﯹ ﯺ ﯻﭼ الشورى ٢٩ Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waal-ardi wama baththa feehima min dabbatin wahuwa AAala jamAAihim itha yashao qadeerun And among His Ayât proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc. is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and whatever moving living creatures He has dispersed in them both. And He is All-Potent over their assembling resurrecting them on the Day of Resurrection after their death, and dispersion of their bodies whenever He wills. ﭽ ﭑ ﭒ ﭓ ﭔ ﭕ ﭖ ﭗ ﭘ ﭙ ﭚ ﭛ ﭜ ﭝ ﭞ ﭟﭠ ﭡ ﭢ ﭣ ﭤ ﭥ ﭦ ﭧ ﭨ ﭩ ﭪ ﭫ ﭬ ﭭ ﭮ ﭯ ﭰ ﭼ الشورى ٣٢ – ٣٤ Wamin ayatihi aljawari fee albahri kaal-aAAlami * In yasha/ yuskini alrreeha fayathlalna rawakida AAala thahrihi inna fee thalika laayatin likulli sabbarin shakoorin * Aw yoobiqhunna bima kasaboo wayaAAfu AAan katheerin And among His Signs are the ships in the sea like mountains. * If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back of the sea. Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful. * Or He may destroy them by shipwreck because of that which their people have earned. Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha wajaAAala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona 21. And among His Signs Is this, that He created For you mates from among Yourselves, that ye may Dwell in tranquillity with them, And He has put love And mercy between your hearts Verily in that are Signs For those who reflect. 22. Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waal-ardi waikhtilafu alsinatikum waalwanikum inna fee thalika laayatin lilAAalimeena 22. And among His Signs Is the creation of the heavens And the earth, and the variations In your languages And your colours verily In that are Signs For those who know. 23. Wamin ayatihi manamukum biallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokum min fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona 23. And among His Signs Is the sleep that ye take By night and by day, And the quest that yeMake for livelihood Out of His Bounty verily In that are Signs For those who hearken. 24. Wamin ayatihi yureekumu albarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssama-i maan fayuhyee bihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona 24. And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, By way both of fear And of hope, and He sends Down rain from the sky And with it gives life to The earth after it is dead Verily in that are Signs For those who are wise. 25. Wamin ayatihi an taqooma alssamao waal-ardu bi-amrihi thumma itha daAAakum daAAwatan mina al-ardi itha antum takhrujoona 25. And among His Signs is this, That heaven and earth Stand by His Command Then when He calls you, By a single call, from the earth, Behold, ye straightway come forth. 26. Walahu man fee alssamawati waal-ardi kullun lahu qanitoona 26. To Him belongs every being That is in the heavens And on earth all are Devoutly obedient to Him. 27. Wahuwa allathee yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu wahuwa ahwanu AAalayhi walahu almathalu al-aAAla fee alssamawati waal-ardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu 27. It is He Who begins The process of creation; Then repeats it; and For Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest Similitude we can think of In the heavens and the earth For He is Exalted in Might, Full of wisdom. Next Section 4 28-40
